HORSES
CEAT is dedicated to helping trainers, riders, breeders and owners to acheive the very best health & performance possible for their horses through the use of a professional, gentle, holistic and non-invasive treatment.

Like people, horses suffer from back, neck, pelvic and musculoskeletal problems and, like us, they can benefit from animal chiropractic and physical therapy

The concept of treatment and rehabilitation during athletic performance and that following injury is an accepted part of human sports medicine. These same principles can be applied to Equine Sports Medicine

Whilst they are strong and capable of doing this, horses have to contend with us being at a 90 degree angle on top of them, sitting at the mid-point of their spine, and thus changing their natural centre of gravity and balance. We then ask them to jump for us, run races, work in collection, play fast turning games and dance to music.

FARM ANIMALS
In a similar way to humans and horses, cattle can very easily sufffer from musculoskeletal problems that can affect their health. Working bulls with pelvic problems have been helped through chiropractic adjustment.

In the same way that chiropractic during pregnancy and after birth can prevent problems in humans, it has been found that cows benefit from adjustment. A "Downer Cow" can be caused by a variety of problems, but where calving has caused motion restrctions in the lumbar and sacropelvic regions resulting in limb weakness & ataxia (from Greek ataxiÇ , meaning disorder -is unsteady and clumsy motion of the limbs or trunk due to a failure of the fine coordination of muscle movements) chiropractic has be shown to be of great benefit.

We have successfully treated lambs who have had trauma to their necks at birth, who before treatment had difficulty in getting round the paddock
